Renaissance Art & Architecture
(Note: Extended due date – If you have not yet turned in your Operation Christmas Child box, you can deliver it anytime before 5:00PM Tuesday to Goedecke Flooring and Design on Route 101 in Bedford)
This month we will be looking at the work of Georgio Vasari. This artist is currently far more famous for his writings than his artwork, however, in his own time he was known as a master painter and an excellent architect. As a true “renaissance man” he excelled in multiple fields.
During our hands-on time we will be working to create our own adorned walkway that will be used to light up the neighborhood during the holidays.
In order to complete the project, students will need to bring the following items to class:
*Dimensional paint multiple colors. Can be shared.
*Paycon construction paper or any scrap paper, light color, multiple sheets per student
*Graphing pencil or any pencil with a sharp point. 1 per student
*Soft Black Eraser or any graphite eraser, 1 per student
*Crayons, can be shared
*Cardboard, 8″x10″- minimum one sheet per student
*Ruler, can be shared
*7″ scissors, can be shared
* Washable glue, can be shared
*optional – baby wipes and/or paper towels
*optional – paint smock (these paints can stain, so paint shirts/smocks are highly encouraged)
See you on Friday 11/16 at 6:30PM!
