Known for his narrative (storytelling) composition, Pieter Bruegel was one of the most significant artists of the Northern Renaissance. As a painter and printmaker, his work is a celebration of common people and common activities of his day, focusing on themes such as rural working life, religion, and superstition.

The materials needed for this month’s project are basic.
You will need:

* mixed media paper 9”x12” approx. (can substitute any thick paper)
* felt tip pen in black – additional colors optional (Papermate Flare are good “smash resistant” liners)
* scrap paper, several sheets per person
* everyday pencil with eraser
